Members
Our cimbalok base line-up consists of these 5 musicians, who can possibly be represented by other alternating and no less good players.

Martin Zatloukal
Solo violin, singing
He began playing the violin in Olomouc at the age of 5 at the basic artistic school Žerotín. Since childhood, he has mainly played classical music, whether solo or in chamber orchestras. He learned about folk songs thanks to the musical environment in which he grew up. For 5 years, he played as the principal of the orchestra of the Evangelical Academy Conservatory Olomouc. Although a musical amateur, he is not lost even among professionals, his playing is rich in expression and technique. (since 2001)

Mgr. Petra Daňková
Violin, singing
She grew up in Frýdek-Místek, where she attended the basic artistic school and, thanks to her parents, the Folklore group Ostravica from an early age, as a long-time experienced and excellent both solo or accompaniment player and also singer. Her studies brought her to Olomouc, where she settled. (since 2006)

MgA. Branislav Lariš, Ph.D.
Viola
A professional musician, artistic director of the band and an erudite folklorist originally from Čadca, where he was leading the Folklore group Kysučan band. After studying at the conservatory in Žilina and graduating from the Academy of Arts in Banská Bystrica and the Institute of Higher Music Education in Bolzano (Italy), he settled in Olomouc and joined FRGÁL. He received his doctorate from the local Palacký University, where he also lectures, among other things. You can also meet him at the Moravian Theatre Olomouc, the basic artistic school Prostějov, as the director of the elementary school in Olšany by Prostějov, with many other professional orchestras mainly focused on authentic baroque interpretation (e.g. Ensemble Damian) or as the musical accompaniment of Jaromír Nohavica. (since 2005)

Mgr. Jakub Sobotka

The second Olomouc native in FRGÁL, who comes from a musical family. He attended the basic artistic school Žerotín from an early age, graduated from the Jan Deyl Conservatory in Prague, and is a member of the Moravian Philharmonic Orchestra Olomouc.
